Courses 

1. What are the rules regarding the provision of Exit Qualification of MSc (CS) to Students who complete Four Semesters of MCA?
   
   a. After successful completion of the first four semesters of MCA, if a student wishes to discontinue the course, he/ she shall be awarded the Master of Science in Computer Science, MSc (CS).
   
   b. MSc (CS) is an exit qualification of MCA. Hence, the student has to be enrolled in MCA. He becomes eligible for MSc (CS) on successful completion of the first four semesters.
   
   c. Following conditions apply for becoming eligible for the award of MSc (CS):

   1. A student is required to appear and successfully complete the 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th semesters of MCA to become eligible for the award of MSc (CS).
   2. In case of the Lateral Entry scheme to 2^nd semester, a student who joins through Lateral Entry in the 2^nd semester will also be eligible for the award of MSc (CS) on successful completion of the 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th semester examinations.
      
      Students who take lateral entry in the 3^rd semester MCA are NOT eligible for the award of MSc(CS) except those who are given Lateral Entry in the 3^rd semester in MCA by virtue of having a graduation degree plus PGDCA/ PGDIT from a recognised University or on successful completion of DOECC after graduation. (In case of Lateral Entry in 3^rd semester, students have to appear and pass the 2^nd semester examination while appearing for the 3^rd semester examination. They are exempted from the 1^st semester examination and hence the result sheet will indicate that the 1^st semester is EXEMPTED).
2. What is the procedure for dual specialisation for MBA course?
   The university is not offering any dual specialisation courses at present.
3. What are the rules regarding change of course?
   Change of course is normally not permitted.
