DMIT - PROGRAM OVERVIEW

  • The program aims at realising the following objectives-

    • To make the students know the basic anatomy of the body so that he/she can interpret the parts on the radiograph
    • To teach basic physiology of the body & how pathology will alter it, leading to a disease process medicine
    • To train the student in conventional radiography as well as in modern imaging techniques and in colleges
    • To educate students about a few alternative procedures which are not routinely performed
    • To get information about the health of a patient with regards to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.



  • 10 + 2 or equivalent with Science

OR

  • 10 + 2 year Vocational program in Allied Health/
  • Paramedical Science from a recognized University / Institution /Board
  • Minimum Duration : 2 Years (4 Semesters)
  • Maximum Duration : 4 Years for DMIT
  • Minimum counselling and Practical duration at the centre : 3 hours per credit

Provision for Re-entry to Fifth Semester

  • Eligibility : Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology (DMIT) of SMU
  • Minimum Duration : 2 Years (4 Semesters)
  • Maximum Duration : 4 Years

Semester Fee : Rs 14,950/- per semester (inclusive of Exam Fee Rs 2,100/- & Alumni Fee Rs 200/-) or as revised from time to time. Fees may also be paid one-time. Contact University for details.

The Gyandeep scholarship is for undergraduate and post-graduate students.

  • Up to 15% Scholarship, applicable across all Programs.
  • SMU students can avail a special scholarship benefit up to 20% for PG Programs.  

 

Eligibility for scholarship

  • The scholarship is valid for students eligible for admission to any SMU-DE Program in 2014-15.
  • The special scholarship for UG alumni of SMU-DE applies to all PG Programs and students should have a valid UG Degree from SMU-DE to avail of this opportunity.
  • Only physical Scholarship Applications duly signed along with the Application for Admission form completed in all respects and necessary enclosures received by the University Admissions office will be considered as valid applications for availing Scholarships.
