The Department of Periodontology, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal, commenced the Continuing Dental Education Programme “Navident-VISTA” on 8th August 2026 at the Dr. T.M.A. Pai Auditorium, MAHE, Manipal.

The programme features an enriching series of expert-led lectures and demonstrations on the VISTA technique and Navident, conducted by internationally renowned periodontal expert Dr. Homa H. Zadeh, DDS, PhD. The programme brings together faculty, postgraduate students, undergraduate students, and clinicians, providing valuable exposure to contemporary periodontal surgical techniques and innovations.

The programme will continue from 9th to 13th August 2026, featuring a series of academic sessions, demonstrations, and interactive learning opportunities. Hands-on clinical sessions on patients was conducted from 10th to 13th August, providing participants with valuable practical exposure to the VISTA technique and Navident-assisted periodontal procedures. The programme aims to enhance clinical knowledge, surgical skills, and familiarity with contemporary periodontal innovations.

The programme is being conducted under the guidance and support of Dr. Santhosh Kumar, Head, Department of Periodontology, and Dr. Gopalakrishnan Dharmarajan, Dean, MCODS Manipal.

The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to advancing periodontal education and clinical excellence through the spirit of “Emulate, Innovate, Excel.”
