Peer Support workshop- “It’s okay , not to be okay..”
In an effort to normalize conversations around anxiety, focus on the importance of mental health and create a in campus peer support group to have a safe space; a peer support workshop was organised on 2nd and 3rd March in collaboration with Student affairs, MAHE.
The workshop was led by Dr.Geetha and her esteemed team of counselors who discussed on various aspects of anxiety, depression, and substance abuse.
They also incorporated various group activities, to involve students ,of different batches ;who had volunteered to attend the session over two days. The activities focused on discussing issues like :‘peer pressure' ; 'substance abuse' ; 'Social anxiety’, ‘performance anxiety'' ,and other similar problems that any college student faces over the years they are away from home.
It was concluded that assistance, support and help would always be made available to the students in the campus.
