Clinical and Diagnostic Virology Certificate Course (1st September to 10th September 2026)

About the course: This 10-day training program is held once a year in September for M.D. Microbiology students and faculty from medical colleges across the country. This course is also open to foreign medical graduates. The training is designed to provide knowledge of the clinical syndromic approach to diagnosing viral infections, along with the rationale for testing and the interpretation of results. The course offers a demonstration of several common and advanced methods for diagnosing viral infections. Participants will also have an exposure to research in clinical virology.

Who can apply: Postgraduate (MD) Microbiology students and faculty with an MD in Microbiology/Medicine or DM in Infectious diseases, and Foreign Medical Graduates.

How to apply: The number of participants is limited to 15. Please send a request letter for enrollment from the head of the institution to the MIV office by email.
