Manipal Health Literacy Unit – Health Literacy Webinar – 3: June 29, 2023

Manipal Health Literacy Unit (MHLU), Department of Social and Health Innovation and Asian Health Literacy Association (AHLA) jointly organized the Health Literacy Webinar. Mr Julien Venn HoD, Department of Social and Health Innovation. Prof Diane Levin-Zamir, National Director, Department of Health Education and Promotion, University of Haifa School of Public Health were the resource people.

Mr Julien Venne spoke about “Digital Health in Motion – Patient’s Health Literacy Enhancer”; Digital Access and Literacy as a Determinant of Health; how access to digital devices and resources can help to increase health literacy; how digital resources using artificial intelligence technology can help to generate, disseminate health literacy related information to the people in a simple language.

Prof Diane Levin-Zamir spoke regarding “Digital Health Literacy for Improvement of Health, Equity, and Sustainability – New Directions”; the importance of digital health; digital health literacy; ways to impart health literacy, and how eHealth ecosystem has been created and the advantages of digital health.
