On account of the National Pulse Polio Programme, students of PSPH volunteered to carry out vaccination of children under 5 years of age, which was done through collaboration between KMC, Manipal, UPHC, Manipal and UPHC, Udupi. They were posted in booths in Tigercircle, bus stands, railway station, anganwadis, PHCs etc in and around Manipal and Udupi from 21st to 24th December 2025. They went on house visits paired with ASHAs and Anganwadi teachers to ensure maximum vaccination coverage.

Dr Kumar Sumit (Faculty, Department of Global Public Health Policy and Governance [GPHPG], PSPH, Manipal) coordinated and guided the students regarding this programme.
