MAHE World-class, green campus
It began operations last year with five engineering programmes on an 80-acre land parcel and phase 2 construction is on. The multi-disciplinary campus will host its flagship institutes, including Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Manipal Institute of Technology, and TAPMI (new UG Programmes), and is expected to have 10.000 students by 2025-26. "We already had a campus in Manipal hospital running allied health programmes. We also had a vision that with Bengaluru being the capital of Karnataka, we should have a world-class campus here...We will ensure that most programmes don't overlap with what's offered in Manipal," said Lt Gen M.D. Venkatesh, VC. The campus is expected to be green, with no motor vehicles. Bicycles and EVs will be allowed.
