Workshop on Decoding China's Influence

The Manipal Center for European Studies (MCES) and Manipal Institute of Communication (MIC), in collaboration with the Chennai Center for China Studies and Law and Society, Delhi, will host a two-day workshop titled "Decoding China's Influence: Unveiling Digital Strategies in South Asia" on 3-4 September 2024. This workshop offers an in-depth exploration of China’s influence operations across South Asia, focusing on the involvement of apps, websites and news organisations. The workshop will also engage in discussions that illuminate the impacts of these operations, with a special emphasis on India, and gain a nuanced understanding of China’s influence mechanisms in the region.
