Alumni Engagement Guest Lecture Series – 12/2020

Department of Child Health Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal organized an Alumni Guest Lecture on “Bleeding Diathesis – Evaluation & Management” on October 16, 2020, between 09.30 am & 10.30 am for undergraduate nursing students through Microsoft Team Platform. Ms Hazina C Joseph, Nurse Practitioner, University of South Florida, USA and alumna (BSc Graduate 1995-2000 batch) of MCON, Manipal was the speaker for the session. She discussed the physiology of hemostasis, evaluation and management of common bleeding disorders such as Hemophilia and Von Willebrand disease. She also sensitized the students and made the session live with case-based scenarios of different age groups.

A total of 135 participants including III BSc (97), I PBBSc (18), alumni members (7) from various parts of the country along with the faculty members (13) of MCON, Manipal attended the guest lecture. The session was interactive and informative.
