Awareness Session on Hand Hygiene
The Department of Community Health Nursing and students of IV year BSc Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal, MAHE conducted an awareness session on Hand hygiene in Bharathi Higher Primary School, Kuntalanagara, Udupi District.
Mrs Shrimathi, Headmistress of the school, welcomed the guests Mr Raghu Poojary, Mr Ashok Acharya and Mr Subash Salian, members of the old student association. The objectives of this program were to sensitize the importance of hand hygiene and personal hygiene among school children.
Students from Manipal College of Nursing presented a talk and action song on hand hygiene. The school children actively participated in the demonstration of hand hygiene. Mrs Manjula and Mrs Reshma R Kotian, faculty of MCON delivered a talk on personal hygiene and importance of balanced diet. Children were also educated regarding Corona virus infection and preventive measures. A total of 64 school children, 6 teachers and 4 members of old students association participated in the program. The program ended with vote of thanks by Mr Bovaraja Acharya, member of the old student association, Bharathi Higher Primary School, Kuntalanagara
