Report on Interactive Session

As part of International Year for Nurses 2020, Dept. of Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing of Manipal College of Nursing organized an interactive session between healthcare management expert and BSc Nursing students on 21.12.2020 between 11 am and 12:30 pm. The topic for the session was “Challenges and Trends in Healthcare sector”. Mrs Sheryl Jyothi Cornelio, Deputy Director Nursing, Dr LH Hiranandhani Hospital, Mumbai was the guest speaker for the session. Mrs Sheryl Cornelio elaborated on the multiple challenges faced in financial, technological, consumer and human resource management in the healthcare sector. She also highlighted the expectations the management has from young nursing professionals. The session was attended by 102 students from IV yr BSc (N), II yr PBBSc (N) & III yr BSc (N) of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE.

Mrs Savitha, Asst. Professor was the moderator for the session. Dr Anice George, Dean, MCON congratulated Mrs Sheryl Cornelio on her achievements in the field of nursing. Mrs Sheryl is an alumnus of MCON Manipal.
