Report on Extempore competition

The SNA Education Committee organized an ‘Extempore competition’ on 7th October 2023 between 2:00-3:00 pm. A total of 14 students participated and showed their skills through their spoken words. Every contestant received a distinct topic and had a preparation time of four minutes. They were then allotted a two-minute duration to speak on their respective topics, and their performance was evaluated on the basis of their confidence, presentation skills, and fluency. The evaluators for the competition were Mrs. Shalini, Nurse educator, KH, Manipal, and Ms. Mitchelle Lewis, Lecturer, Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, MCON, Manipal. The first place was bagged by Ms Aleena Mathew, 3rd year BSc(N), second place by Ms Rose Maria Baby, 4th year BSc(N), and third place by Ms Anju Santo and Riya Elizabeth Reji, 2nd year BSc(N) respectively.
