Workshop on Clinical Edge: Step up for Success

The Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, MCON, Manipal, organized a workshop on Clinical Edge: Step Up for Success for PharmD Students from Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manipal Academy of Higher Education. The workshop dealt with procedures such as intramuscular, intravenous, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections, venipuncture, and checking of pulse and blood pressure. A total of 26 students participated in the workshop.
The participants were divided into groups, with each group having seven students. The procedures were divided into morning and afternoon sessions. A faculty member from the Department of Fundamentals of Nursing handled each session. The procedures were explained and then demonstrated. Each student had to redemonstrate the procedure to the faculty. The students enthusiastically participated and had a positive outlook on learning. This workshop contributed to SDG 4, Quality Education, and SDG 17, Partnership for Goals.
