The resource persons were Ms. Selina Baumgarther and Ms. Salome Widmer, OR Nurses, Kantonsspital Aarau, Switzerland. They shared their experience of working as an operation room nurse in their hometown, highlighting on the preparation of patients, various equipment used during surgery, aseptic precautions and disinfection techniques. Ms. Salome explained regarding the procedures and protocols of preparation of the operation room in the beginning and in between the surgeries and the pre-operative patient preparation.

They also added a note on their experience in Manipal, which was even though little different from theirs but it was wonderful. There were 69 participants including faculty, undergraduate and postgraduate students of the college who actively interacted with them and clarified some of the working conditions and procedures in Switzerland.
