Seminar on Career Development and Progression in Nursing

Manipal College of Nursing Manipal in association with Centre for Consultancy Training and Corporate Interface (CCTCI), Department of Commerce (DOC), MAHE, Manipal organized a seminar on Career Development and Progression in Nursing on 27th May 2022 between 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm for the final year BSc and PBBSc nursing students. Ms.Aatmika Shetty, Assistant Professor, DOC elaborated on office etiquettes, which included ways of effective communication in workplace. The second session was on CV building by Mr.Daniel Frank, Assistant Professor, DOC. He gave a clear idea on method of preparation of CV for nursing students with examples. Dr. Vikram Baliga, Associate Professor, DOC and Head of CCTCI MAHE, Manipal spoke on ‘How to handle interview’. He stressed on how to introduce self, short term goals, long term goals and common questions that are expected in an interview. A total of 107 students and three faculty members participated in the seminar. The participants expressed that the seminar was interesting and it is useful for their future. The event was coordinated by Dr.Anjalin Dsouza, Assistant Professor, MCON, MAHE, Manipal.
