Manipal School of Nursing organised a "Research orientation for beginners" session on July 11, 2024, at 2:30 pm as part of Pillar 2 (IOE): Exemplary Research and Innovation of Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal. The target audience was Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery students. Dr. Melita Sheilini, Associate Professor, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, MCON, MAHE, Manipal, was the resource person for the session. She highlighted the key elements of research, the skills required, the research cycle, its importance, and the pathways for advancing research skills after a diploma in nursing.
A total of 116 participants attended the session. Ms. Saraswathi Hebbar, Lecturer, MSON, coordinated the event. The participants were engaged through active learning exercises. This session contributed to SDG 4: "Quality Education".
