BLOOD DONATION DRIVE - 2025

The Health and Social Welfare Committee of Manipal College of Nursing (MCON), Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, organised a blood donation drive on 31st October 2025 at the Blood Centre, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A total of 100 students and five faculty members from MCON volunteered to donate blood. Following the initial screening process, 63 volunteers successfully donated blood. The event was coordinated by the student chairperson of the committee, Ms Rosmi Ann Reji, along with Ms Marita Dsouza and Ms Kesia Shaji Thomas, students of the 7th Semester BSc Nursing program. The coordination was carried out under the guidance of Mrs Janet Alva, Assistant Professor and Faculty Advisor, and Dr Shalini G. Nayak, Assistant Professor – Senior Scale and Faculty Co-advisor. This initiative contributes to Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, promoting voluntary blood donation and community health awareness.
