Hands-on Copyright Filing Workshop

Centre of Excellence in Interprofessional advanced wound care, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE Manipal in collaboration with CCEID and Technology Transfer Office of the Directorate of Research, MAHE Manipal organized hands on workshop on “Copyright” and the process of filing on 30^th October 2025 at CCEID. A total of 45 young faculty and PhD scholar took part with great enthusiasm. Dr Elsa Sanatombi Devi, Centre Coordinator set the tone by introducing the 3 'I’s of Innovation, possible how to tickle the neurons and emphasized on the importance of protecting the new ideas through filing.  

 Dr Varadharajan, Assistant Director, Technology Transfer, inspired the participants by exploring the potential of transforming innovative ideas into patentable or copyrightable creations. Advocate Pranav Bhat walked the audience through the complete process of copyright filing. The workshop conducted with one idea filed by every participant which will be followed up until complete filling process. Quality Education (SDG4), Decent Work and economic Growth (SDG8), Industry, Innovation and infrastructure (SDG9) and Partnership for the goals (SDG17) were addressed.
