GUEST LECTURE ON CARE AND AFFECTION TO PATIENTS

Department of Community Health Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal organized a Guest Lecture on “Care and Affection towards Patients” on 9^th September 2020 between 9:30 am & 10:30 am as part of Student Induction Program for students admitted to the various courses offered by the college for the academic year 2020-21 through Microsoft Teams Platform.  Dr P.V. Bhandary, Director and Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr A.V. Baliga group of Institutions, Udupi spoke on the topic.  Dr Bhandary during his talk highlighted the importance of nursing care to patients.  He depicted the qualities of a good Nurse with appropriate examples.

A total of 148 participants attended the Guest Lecture.  Mrs Jeyalakshmi K, Assistant Professor, Department of Community Health Nursing, MCON Manipal welcomed and introduced the Resource Person and Dr Shashidhara Y.N., Prof. & Head, Dept. of Community Health Nursing expressed gratitude to Dr P.V. Bhandary for accepting the invite and sharing his expertise on the subject with our students.
