Guest Lecture on “Communication Skills”

The Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal, organized a guest lecture on “communication skills” for first-semester BSc Nursing students on August 5, 2024, between 9.00 and 10.00 am. The speaker for the session was Dr Mathangi Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Manipal College of Dental Sciences, Manipal, MAHE. Mrs. Geena Louis Dsouza, Lecturer MCON, welcomed the gathering and introduced the speaker. Dr Mathangi has introduced the topic with an engaging activity. She then delved into the various types of communication, emphasizing their significance in the context of health care by introducing the 12 C’s formula. The session was interactive and informative, leaving a positive impact on the attendees. A total of 147 students participated in the session, demonstrating their interest to learn and improve their communication abilities. The session focused on attaining SDG 4: Quality Education.
