Alumni engagement guest lecture series – 14/2022

Department of Community Health Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal, has organized an alumni guest lecture on the topic ‘Soft skills for communication’ on 07/06/2022 between 10.30 am -11.30 am by Mr. Bhima Surendra Babu, Assistant Nursing Superintendent & Incharge for CTVS ICU, Cardiology ICU (alumnus of MCON BSc (N)- 2008-11 batch). The session was very interactive, where the speaker discussed different skills for effective communication with peers, teachers, patients, and the health care team. He also shared his journey as a novice nurse working in KH Manipal till his current position. The session was deliberated using the Microsoft teams platform. A total of 86 participants including students from 2nd year BSc(N) and faculty attended the session. The program was coordinated by Mrs. Reshma R Kotian, Lecturer, Department of Community Health Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal, under the guidance of Dr. Shashidhara Y N, Professor and HOD Department of Community Health Nursing, and Dr. Mamatha S Pai, Head, Pillar 4, MCON, MAHE, Manipal.
