Col (Dr) M Dayananda, Chief Operating Officer of Kasturba Hospital inaugurated the event. Posters prepared by students and faculty of different disciplines on the theme ‘Healthy living and Diabetes’ were displayed at the venue.

Dr Judith Norohna Associate Dean, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal, Dr. Kasturi R Adiga, Principal, Manipal School of Nursing, Mrs. Yashoda A, Nursing Suprintendent Kasturba Hospital were also present for the occasion

Prizes were distributed to the winners of the poster competition. Dr. Seebu Dhigra from Manipal College of Dental sciences, Mangalore bagged the first prize. Second prize was for Ms. Upasana Sharma of second year BSc Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal and   third prize was for Mr. Aldrin Vas, PhD scholar, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal.
