Report on Outreach Program

Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, organized an outreach program on September 4, 2024, at Hosabelaku Seva Trust, Bailur, on the topic “awareness of positive health.” A total of 80 inmates attended the program.
Dr. Radhika R Pai, Associate Professor, and Mrs. Kusumavathi, Lecturer at Manipal College of Nursing, were the resource persons, offering valuable insights and guidance throughout the session. The program encompassed encouraging the participants to engage in mindful activities such as yoga, listening to music, and positive reinforcement by providing tokens through which people can incorporate positive health in their lives.
The faculty and students from Edge Hill University, UK, also visited and actively participated in the outreach program activities. The inmates of Hosebelaku expressed their happiness and gratitude while interacting with them.
This outreach program contributes to sustainable development goals 3 (Good health & Well-being) and 4 (Quality Education).
