Guest Lecture on “Diabetes diagnosis and management”

Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal organized a Guest Lecture on “Diabetes diagnosis and management” on June 15, 2022, between 9.00 am and 10.00 pm for II year BSc Nursing students. Dr. Sahana Shetty, Professor and Head, Department of Endocrinology, KMC, Manipal addressed the topic. The session highlighted the causes, pathophysiology, diagnostic measures, and complications. She emphasized the management of diabetic patients with relevant clinical examples.

The session was conducted in the MCON classroom. A total of 97 students attended the session. The resource person addressed and clarified the questions posed by the students. Mrs. Janet Prameela Dsouza, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, MCON, coordinated the session.
