MCON-SRF Webinar on ‘Accelerating your literature search: an overview of PubMed’

Manipal College of Nursing - Student Research Forum, MAHE, Manipal, organized the fifth session of the year-long webinar series ‘Inculcating Research Culture in Students’ on the topic - Accelerating your literature search: an overview of PubMed on 22nd October 2021, from 1:45 pm to 2:45 pm. The resource person for the session was Mrs Sunitha Calvin, PhD Scholar, Dept. of Child Health Nursing, MCON, MAHE, Manipal.

Mrs Sunitha gave a brief orientation on PubMed, the basic search strategies, and the objective of using search strategies in online databases. She then explained in detail the steps of performing a literature search with a LIVE demonstration on PubMed. The session was very informative and led a guide for the new researchers to understand the importance of search strategy and its steps. E-certificates were given to all the participants. A total of 27 participants, including undergraduate & postgraduate students, PhD scholars, and project staff of MCON attended the session.
