Pillar II: Exemplary Research and Innovation, in collaboration with the Student Research Forum at Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal, organized a session on the topic “Introduction to Nursing Research” on December 2, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The resource person for the session was Ms. Preejana Sharma, PhD Scholar, Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal. The session aimed to familiarize participants with the fundamental concepts of nursing research and to initiate their interest in pursuing research in the future. Ms Preejana engaged students through an interactive brainstorming activity, where participants worked in groups to identify common nursing problems and propose possible solutions. Students actively participated, shared ideas, and discussed how simple observations can evolve into meaningful research topics. The session also aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education) by encouraging evidence-based practice and promoting research-oriented learning.

The session proved to be both inspiring and informative, and received positive feedback from the participants. A total of 25 first-year PBBSc Nursing students attended the session. E-certificates were awarded to all participants.
