At Asha Nilaya, children’s day activities included different games for children like musical chair for boys and girls and bombing the city. Around 75 mentally challenged children actively participated in the games.  

Students of III year BSc Nursing performed two action songs and a group song.
Prizes were given to the winners of the games and snacks were distributed to all the children and teachers. Mrs. Agnes Kunder, Head teacher of the institution in her address appreciated Manipal College of Nursing Manipal for organizing the children’s day since 10 years. Ms. Shilpa of III year BSc (N) welcomed the gathering and Ms. Belisha proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Ms. Rakshitha, III year BSc Nursing student.

On 13th November 2015 at Academy School Manipal, program started with different games for children like passing the ball, bombing the city and balloon bursting. There were 65 students who enthusiastically participated in all the games. 

It was followed by cultural program by III Year BSc Nursing students. Prizes were distributed to the winners and snacks were given to all the children. The head teacher of the school expressed her gratitude for conducting the programme. Mrs. Yashoda S, Asst. Professor, Dept of Child Health Nursing explained the importance of children’s day. Ms. Rashmi of III year BSc gave the welcome address. The programme was compered by Ms. Pushpalatha, III year BSc Nursing student. This activity was guided by Dr. Mamatha S Pai, HoD and coordinated by Mrs. Sangeetha Priyadarshini and Mrs. Sheela Shetty, Asst. Professors, dept. of Child Health Nursing, MCON Manipal.
