Report on JAM competition

The Education Committee of the Student Nurses Association of MCON, MAHE, Manipal organized a ‘Just a Minute (JAM)’ competition on October 14, 2023, between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. Fifteen students in total took part and displayed their verbal prowess. Each competitor was assigned a unique topic and given one minute of preparation time. Subsequently, they were granted a one-minute time frame to deliver their thoughts on their designated topics. The evaluators for the competition were Mrs. Charmaine Crystal Salins, Nursing Training and Quality Incharge, Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, and Mrs. Vinitha D’souza, Lecturer, Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, MCON, Manipal. Ms. Aleena Mathew, 3rd year BSc (N), bagged first place; Ms. Diya George, 2nd year BSc (N), bagged second place; and Ms. Rugma, 1st year BSc (N), bagged third place, respectively.
