Report on Effective Alumni Engagement Guest Lecture Series

The Department of Community Health Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal, successfully organized an Alumni Engagement Guest Lecture Series titled “Nursing at its Core: Professional Perspectives and Experiences” on May 2, 2026. The resource person for the session was Mr. Neten Wangchuk, Head Nurse at Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Referral Hospital, Bhutan. He addressed 1st Year PBBSc Nursing students, sharing his clinical journey and emphasizing core values such as compassion, ethics, and patient-centered care. This initiative is aligned with SDG 4 – Quality Education. A total of 23 participants benefited from valuable real-world insights and professional motivation through an interactive dialogue between students and the distinguished alumnus.
