Orphanage home visit

The Health and Social Welfare Committee and the Health Education Committee of the Student Nurses’ Association 2023-2024, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal, organized an “Orphanage Home Visit” at Krishnanugraha, Mamatheya Thotillu, Malpe, Udupi, on November 17, 2023, from 04.30 pm to 06.30 pm. A total of 17 students and 3 faculty members spent time with the young ones by entertaining them with songs and dances. They were taught about the importance of personal hygiene and were provided with snacks and fruits at the end of the visit. The orphanage was provided with grocery items, which were donated by the well-wishers, faculty, and students of MCON. We expressed our gratitude to the caretakers for taking care of these kids and for giving us the opportunity to spend some time with them. The session contributes to SDG Goal 3: Good health and wellbeing.
