MCON - SRF Session 8 - ‘Accelerating literature search - An Overview of PubMed & CINAHL’

Manipal College of Nursing - Student Research Forum, MAHE, Manipal, organized the eighth session of the year-long lecture series on ‘Accelerating literature search - An Overview of PubMed & CINAHL’ on October 29, 2022, from 4 pm to 5 pm. The Resource Person for the session was Ms. Clarita Shynal Martis, Ph.D. Scholar, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal.

Ms. Clarita shared her knowledge and personal experiences on using PubMed & CINAHL for literature review. She explained in detail the different features of PubMed & CINAHL databases. She also demonstrated the methods of basic and advanced searches in the databases with examples.

The session was very informative and provided a well-appreciated guide for the new researchers to plan search strategies for their research activities. A total of 41 participants, including students, Ph.D. scholars, and project staff of MCON attended the session. E-certificates were given to all the participants.
