Alumni engagement guest lecture series – 22/2022 report

Department of Community Health Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal has organized an alumni guest lecture on the topic 'Role of a Nurse in Primary Care Setting' on 16th December 2022 between 10.30 am – 11.30 am. Prof Jaita Mondal Ghosh, Principal, VISWASS College and School of Nursing (alumnus of MCON MSc Nursing - 2007-2009 batch) discussed the role and responsibilities of the nurse as a nurse leader, nurse manager, and change maker. She also discussed on an expanded role as CHO in the healthcare delivery system. The session was deliberated using the Microsoft team’s platform. A total of 82 participants including faculty members and students from 4th year BSc(N) attended the session. This program was coordinated by Mrs. Reshma R Kotian, Lecturer, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal under the guidance of Dr. Shashidhara Y N, Prof and HOD, Department of Community Health Nursing MCON, MAHE, Manipal.
