AWARENESS SESSION ON GENDER SENSITIZATION

Ending all discrimination against women and girls is not only a basic human right, but it's also crucial for a sustainable future, it's proven that empowering women and girls helps economic growth and development. UNDP has made gender equality central to its work. Keeping one of the most important sustainable development goals in mind, the Education Committee of SNA organized an awareness session on the topic “GENDER SENSITIZATION” on the 20th of February 2023 between 2.00 and 3.00 pm. The resource person for the event was Ms. Richa Gupta, Asst. Professor, Manipal Centre for European Studies, MAHE, Manipal. She spoke on how men and women are treated in different societies, the stereotypes we follow, the importance of gender sensitization, and the role of inclusive communication in workplaces. A total of 130 students from the Second Semester BSc Nursing participated and benefitted from the session.
