Report of Session on Communication Skills at Workplace

"Communication is not just about words; it's about how we listen, understand, and respond. Effective communication skills are fundamental to success in numerous aspects of life. The Education Committee of Student Nurses’ Association 2023 -24 of Manipal College of Nursing, Manipal organized a session on the theme "Communication Skills at Workplace” on 5th August 2023 between 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The session was delivered by Ms. Prathibha Lydia Braggs, Junior Research Fellow, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal. She discussed the importance of effective communication and the strategies to improve communication at the workplace. She also emphasized that effective workplace communication is crucial for building strong relationships, enhancing collaboration, resolving conflicts, and achieving organizational goals efficiently.

The session was attended by a group of 133 students from the first semester BSc. Nursing. The session contributed to Sustainable Development Goal 3 - "Good Health and Well-being."
