The purpose was to sensitize students about the need of preventing diseases and promotion of health by practicing personal and environmental hygienic measures and eating balanced diet in day today life
Various activities like informative talks, role play, quiz, group songs in local languages were organized to instill awareness on prevention of diseases and promotion of health. 

A talk in Kannada was delivered by different groups of students. First group emphasized on personal hygiene and environmental hygiene, the second group on prevention of accidents in children and third group highlighted on balanced diet and its importance in children. 

Total of 70 students and five teachers participated in the event. The programme was conducted as part of the curriculum, under the mentorship of faculty of Child Health Nursing, Mrs Yashoda Sathish and Ms. Nisha P V. All the sessions were invigorating and interactive. The participants clarified their doubts and shared their experiences. Mrs.Laxmi, Head Mistress of the school supported throughout the programme and appreciated the activities and coverage of topics during the session.
