MCON-SRF Webinar on ‘Institutional Ethics Committee Approval Process’
Manipal College of Nursing - Student Research Forum, MAHE, Manipal, organized the third session of the year-long webinar series ‘Inculcating Research Culture in Students’ on the topic- Institutional Ethics Committee (IEC) Approval Process on 28 August 2021, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. The resource person for the session was Dr Tessy Treesa Jose, Professor & Head, Department of Psychiatric (Mental Health) Nursing, MCON, MAHE, Manipal. Dr Tessy gave a brief orientation about Institutional Ethics Committee - KMC & KH, Manipal, and the detailed process for obtaining the IEC clearance procedure. The session was very informative and led a guide for the new beginners to understand the importance of obtaining IEC clearance before conducting the research. An e-certificate will be provided to all the participants. A total of 31 participants, including undergraduate & postgraduate students, PhD scholars, and project staff of MCON actively attended the program.
